"We had a great one night stay at the Pumilio hotel. It’s a small boutique hotel close to Jaco. It’s located in the nature surrounded by the trees. It’s an excellent location to relax and spend one or two nights. Our room was on the first floor with walk out to the pool area. "The overall property is very beautiful, located in a forest setting. The open air restaurant with its observation deck is a great place for birdwatching since there are feeders at the edge of the deck and the staff puts out fruit and seeds early when the birds are active. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly! And the location is very near the river tours and Carara National Park. "Receptionist Tina was very plesent and fun talk to. Breakfast was great, all the bar/ breakfast stuff was plesent and helpful. Room was clean and the pool was great as well. The only thing is the trucks making anesesary jbreak noise, the truck stop is close but the roud is flat. We got the free sparkling wine. The view from room was amazing."
